Description: Le jeu de données reprend la délimitation des zones agro-géographiques - ou régions rurales - en Région wallonne. Neuf régions agro-géographiques, ou régions rurales, ont été reconnues sur le territoire wallon. Elles se situent en dehors des agglomérations et des axes industriels. Le découpage se base essentiellement sur des critères d’occupation des sols (surtout forêt ou agriculture) et d’aménagement des terroirs (grands champs ouverts, prairies entourées de haies, caractéristiques d’habitat, etc.) qui reflètent les conditions bio-physiques du milieu naturel et qui sont liés aux anciennes pratiques agricoles. Dans ces régions, parfois encore nuancées en sous-régions, le patrimoine rural bâti possède ses propres traits caractéristiques. La morphologie des villages et leur typologie sont des éléments structurels qui ont connu une grande stabilité dans le temps.
