Description: Cette couche de données reprend la situation actuelle des zones de distribution publique d’eau (ZDE) destinée à la consommation humaine en Wallonie. La Zone de Distribution publique d'Eau (ZDE) est instituée par la Directive européenne n°98/83/CE relative à la qualité des eaux destinées à la consommation humaine (Drinking Water Directive). Elle est définie dans le Code de l'Eau comme "une zone géographique dans laquelle les eaux destinées à la consommation humaine proviennent d'une ou de plusieurs sources et à l'intérieur de laquelle la qualité est considérée comme uniforme" (article D.2, 92°). Il s'agit de l'unité de base du contrôle de la qualité de l'eau. C’est également l’entité territoriale sur laquelle portent les plans d’urgence et les éventuelles dérogations. Les zones de distribution en eau sont gérées par des distributeurs wallons, à savoir la Société Wallonne des Eaux (SWDE), des intercommunales et des administrations ou régies communales. Ces distributeurs sont tenus de communiquer à tout consommateur qui en fait la demande les informations adéquates et récentes sur la qualité de l’eau fournie dans la zone de distribution qu’ils alimentent. La donnée renseigne l’identifiant de la zone (code wallon et européen), la catégorie de la zone de distribution (relative au volume journalier distribué), le nom du distributeur ou encore les liens vers le rapport pdf sur la qualité des eaux.
